We have an extensive network of industrial and university-based researchers developing a variety of sustainable technologies. Economic development departments engage Oakdene Hollins to promote sustainable technology clusters in their region. Industrial clients ask that we identify collaborators, public funding and market opportunities for their innovations.
"Sustainable technologies" is a generic term applied to incremental improvements in existing technologies and occasionally to "step-change" technologies. Examples of sustainable technologies are: innovative use of renewable raw materials, process intensification which allows local scale processing to become economic, replacement of make and sell business models with design and lease.
Many large companies are already adopting sustainable technologies; we expect to see growth in the uptake of design and lease business models. We offer support services for the challenges these strategic decisions can create. |
