 Technology Programme

 Further Information

The programme, funded by the Technology Strategy Board, supports collaborative research addressing both a number of key technology areas and selective societal priorities.  Elements of the programme are directed at waste, resources and business and consumer efficiencies in the sourcing, use and disposal of materials and products (so-called sustainable consumption and production - SCP).  Past calls have tackled:

  • Wastes from industry and commerce
  • Technologies that will help meet the requirements of the Landfill Directive
  • Technologies that minimize the production or impact of hazardous wastes
  • Remediation of contaminated land
  • Energy efficiency in buildings and industry
  • Technologies that generally improve resource efficiency in industry by moving towards "Zero Emissions"
  • The design of sustainable products

Details of selected past projects can be found on the Technology Programme website or on a fuller list by using its search page.

Join the mailing listTwo previous competitions (April 05 and November 06) have taken the theme "Towards the Zero Emissions Enterprise".  We operate a dedicated forum – The ZEE Forum – for partners involved but also  for other companies who are interested in this aim. The Forum is free and hosted by Resource Efficiency KTN, where you will need to register.  Please contact us for further details.
